Yang-Hua Hu is an acclaimed Taiwanese American film editor based in Los Angeles and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). Renowned for his meticulous pacing and narrative sensitivity, his breakout work on Mass (2021) premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to widespread international acclaim and received the Robert Altman Award at the Independent Spirit Awards. His feature debut, The Public, was selected for the Toronto International Film Festival. Recent credits include the Sundance Award–winning The Accidental Getaway Driver ; All That We Love, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and The Pirate King premiered at the SXSW.


Holding an MFA from USC and drawing from a background in theatrical directing, Hu has emerged as a distinctive voice in contemporary international cinema, seamlessly blending Hollywood craftsmanship with a refined global perspective.
